INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Laurie Curran Water Pty Ltd operates under an Integrated Management System (IMS). The IMS is applicable to all of our activities.

All staff and subcontractors are required to comply with the processes and controls described.

This system is certified to the Civil Contractors Federation and, in addition in NSW, to the OHS MS Auditing Guidelines.

The IMS is based on the requirements of the national and international standards for occupational health and safety (AS/NZS 4801:2001), environmental (ISO AS/NZS 14001:2004) and quality assurance (ISO AS/NZS 9001:2008) management and AS/NZS 4360:2004 Risk Management Guidelines.

Laurie Curran Water Pty Ltd as part of its Risk Management process uses the IMS to ensure appropriate planning of all operations. This is demonstrated by the development of a Project Management Plan (Project IMS) which is developed for each individual project. This plan covers all areas within each project to ensure compliance with all quality, safety, environmental and client requirements.

Components of the IMS

The IMS is made up of:

– The Project IMS document which provides the system and process framework for the achievement of compliance to safety, environmental and quality standards and our client requirements.

– Project specific documents that describe any project specific controls to verify and provide evidence that the quality, environmental and safety aspects of the work as well as any client requirements are met. Example may include Safety Plan, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) (sometimes referred to as JSAs), Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and / or specific quality instructions e.g. Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) that describe how project specific quality, safety and environmental activities will be managed.

– Forms and checklists that are progressively completed to record results / measurements to requirements etc.

– Records are maintained to provide evidence of conformity to project requirements and of the effective operation of the IMS.
